RV How-To Guide | Breakers

  • In most cases breakers and fuses are best left to you local RV mobile repair technician. If you are particularly handy, ensure you read your trailer’s manual for detailed instructions and precautions before adjusting anything electrical.
  • From Heartland travel trailer manual: "Circuit breakers and fuses protect the circuits in the vehicle. Locate the converter and see where the fuses are located. If you blow a fuse, turn off the appliance. Unplug the fuse. Check the fuse for breakage and replace it with a new fuse of the proper rating. If the fuse continues to fail, contact your nearest dealer. NEVER REPLACE AFUSE WITH A HIGHER RATED FUSE THAN WHAT IS DESIGNATED."
